Hello, I am Cheryl
I AM WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER. LOVER OF ALL THINGS IN NATURE AND NATURAL HEALING THROUGH FOOD AND THOUGHT!
I am also a Certified Transformation Coach and Therapist trained in the Marisa Peer Method of RTT,( Rapid Transformational Therapy) as well as Reiki Master, Abuse Advocate, Certified Mindfulness and Mediation Coach and Author of several books. I have moved no less than 50 times in my life and learned so much about myself during this time.
I never use to worry about weight as I was always slim and had no idea about the contents of the food I ate or what impact our food has on our health and bodies. I had a sweet tooth and as I stayed slim and full of energy I never gave food, sugar a second thought, until I reached my late 40's and diagnosed with Diverticulitis. I was shocked to say the least, as I knew diet played a big part in that. And all my years of eating irregular and unhealthy foods, especially in my younger days it appeared it had all caught up with me. I felt tired, joints hurt, I put on weight, I felt bloated and fed up, so unlike me!
It was then and only then I looked honestly at my lack of interest in the food I put in my mouth, what I cooked, what impact food had on our internal organs, joints, mind and thoughts. I wanted to be healthy as I aged, vibrant woman, loving my ageing and not allowing myself to fall into a negative mindset. I also wanted to help other women younger than me.
I set about learning about me and my health. A radical change was needed, especially after hubby and I moved back to UK in 2018 after 14 years living in USA.
I created and produced massive events in the USA in Oregon and Portland, and loved bringing thousands together. I am now on a mission through my Soul Sanctuary Retreats and my Rapid Transformational Therapy & Coaching to help women of all ages, especially with the resources and information we have access to now, that I did not have so easily before the Internet to information on our diets, and food content.
I know it's possible and affordable to heal your body, prepare inexpensive healthy and delicious food and love not only your body but who you really are without compromising your health or spending a fortune. I have not had one attack since 2009 and not even my doctor in USA could believe it as most people who suffer this condition usually have regular attacks over the years.
Welcome to my little part I play in my world of helping others 'heal the woman inside', where learning to believe in yourself is vital and caring for yourself with love, food, friendships, laughter will always be a priority. I believe in healing the 'whole' woman not just the outer part.
I found Pilates and Yoga works for me, spirituality, daily self love, finding a healthy yummy diet and Dr. Joe Dispenzer meditation transforms mind, body and spirit. I am always learning, through my clients in my RTT holistic practice and courses I still like to maintain so I can pass that knowledge on to you.
I am here to help empower women of all ages to come together in our workshops, retreats, or RTT that we truly have the ability to create the life we want in the health and body we want that is affordable. Eating yummy healthy food can heal autoimmune disease, lose weight with ease, become stronger in ourselves, have more energy and love the body we have. Works wonders' on inflammation.
In a world where disease appears to be growing, illness, stress, and demands of the modern life. As women we juggle so much, life is like a merry go round, you know you should or want to take steps to change that feeling, but it seems almost impossible at times without not enough hours in the day.
Now it is time for you to put yourself first, just as I had to if we are to be there for ourselves first and then our family and friends.
Food & Me
My dad was a butcher and we always ate plenty of meat and each meal was followed by puddings. I never gave food a second thought, to me, it was something you did when you got hungry. I don't think I even knew anyone that worried about food, or what vitamins, minerals, good or bad food contained. I had a sweet tooth and most days I would wonder done the local sweet shop and buy bags of sweets.
In fact I loved sweets and sugary things more than meals itself.
As a teenager I was very skinny, always active and never bothered if I ate regular meals just grabbed whatever was available to take hunger away.
This continued into my young adult life, always having biscuits with a cuppa, never drinking much water, did not like the taste and generally oblivious to those that had weight issues.
Fast forward to my 40's and hell let loose as far as my body was concerned. It decided to get back at me in a vengeance. Weight piled on, cellulite increased, I felt so lethargic, and no matter what I did exercise wise, nothing happen enough for me to look at the content of what I was stuffing in my mouth. Sure, I read about diets and all of that, but they were not sustainable, well not to me. Then my family and I moved to USA and with the huge amount of food portions there I was only then aware of how much and what I was really eating. After getting very sick with what I thought was food poisoning I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis, something that my Aunty and my Father In Law had later in life. I was told it was caused by food mainly although not the sole cause. Either way the pain was unbearable and seeing the scan of what was going on inside me, was enough to make changes.
And so I did, I learned about food, what chemicals it had in it, how the body reacts, how my body reacted and how it had trouble digesting certain food. I tried various things and found I needed something that was healthy lifestyle eating not, diets as I knew that for me was not sustainable.
All of the last decade or so has bought me to here, not only back home in UK but now with a huge passion to help others young and older, with inexpensive healthy sustainable lifestyle eating. Not compromising on treats and above all not feeling guilty as many do.
Putting what others do out of my mind and finding what works for my body, my lifestyle, and my well being became my focus and transformed me and still is, I am forever learning too.
My life, my journey has not been easy on many levels, but all of my colourful life and training means I can give and help others through my programs, retreats, events, and my RTT Practice and Coaching.
